Rodney Khor began his career in the IT Industry with a boutique software house in Malaysia specialising in providing ERP solutions. He made the decision to further his education in law and graduated from the University of London with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons). Thereafter, he pursued his studies further at the University of Northumbria at Newcastle and graduated with a Post-graduate Diploma in Bar Vocational. He was eventually called to the Bar of England and Wales as a Barrister and the Malayan Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor by the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple and the High Court of Malaya respectively.

In 2009, he began his legal practice in Malaysia at Sreenevasan Young under the tutelage of Mr. Gopal Sreenevasan in Kuala Lumpur. In 2012, he joined the firm Thomas Loh & Associate where the firm's name was subsequently changed to Thomas Rodney. In June 2021, the Selangor Branch of Thomas Rodney established itself as Rodney & Co.

He has been a contributor to the Malayan Law Journal and is currently a member of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple, Bar of England and Wales, Malaysian Bar, Selangor State Bar, ASEAN Law Association, Old Frees Association in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, and the former  Treasurer of The Malaysia Middle Temple Alumni Association.

He heads the Dispute Resolution and Advisory Division of the firm, engaging in dispute resolution in the civil courts in West Malaysia and Arbitration (including International Arbitration), corporate and commercial advisory, and drafting of commercial and corporate agreements.
